About pubsec/data

pubsec/data is the data-research arm operated by No Strings Labs. Our research team compiles Canadian public-sector contracting records — awards, tenders, bidders, and challenges — into a single versioned corpus and publishes aggregate findings, tools, and research notes.

What we do

We measure the mechanics of Canadian procurement: who buys, who bids, who wins, and how often processes run without competition. Every number on this site is computed from the compiled corpus at release time and carries the release tag 2026.10. Methods and limitations are documented in full — where the data is thin or an artifact of the source, we say so on the page.

What we don't do

We do not distribute raw records, host downloads, or republish source portals. Access to the corpus beyond published aggregates is through research services.
